Venezia showing interest in Anderlecht defender | OneFootball

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Venezia are interested in signing Anderlecht defender Louis Patris. The 23-year-old, who can operate as a full-back or a central defender, only joined the side from OH Leuven last summer. During the 2022/2023 season, Patris broke into the first team and had a fantastic year. He then signed a deal with Anderlecht until 2028 but has struggled to nail down a starting place with the Mauves.

For Anderlecht, they are already incredibly thin on reinforcements in defence and can ill afford to lose Patris without a number of incoming players. His fellow defender Killian Sardella, who was the sides first choice right-back last season, is being linked with a move to Werder Bremen.

Patris cost Anderlecht around €3.5m last summer and went on to make just 18 appearances, scoring one goal. During his 2022/2023 season with OH Leuven he played 35 times, scored twice and grabbed an impressive eight assists.
