Tomás Boy will not be swayed by fans and popular opinion.
Despite contributing as a substitute versus León, Boy is not yet comfortable in having Alexis Vega as a concrete starter for his team.
“Vega has had no rest because he spent a month and a half with the National Team,” said Boy. “I had planned on using Oribe more at the start of the season, but the plan was that [Vega] would not start the first few games.”
Boy has announced earlier today that he will repeat a frontline of Peralta and Polido for Chivas’ match versus Necaxa this weekend, leaving the 21-year-old centre-forward once again on the bench.
