VCF Mestalla will face their preseason opener against UD Castellonense at the Anonio Puchades at 7 pm kick-off time. Following three weeks of workout. This will see the b team and their coaching staff preseason debut under Miguel Ángel Angulo.

Miguel Ángel Angulo stands as the most decorated player in the club’s history. He will face a brand new stage in his coaching career after having come up through the 11-a-side youth ranks in the dugout at Infantil, Cadete and Juvenil. Over the last few seasons, he has been in charge of VCF Juvenil A in División de Honor as well as in the UEFA Youth League.

The Asturian has firsthand experience with his squad as most of the players have trained under him moving up through the VCF Academy youth setup. “I know 90% of the players to be part of the squad. I know exactly what can they bring into it and with it we’ve got good foundations”.  The new man in the VCF Mestalla dugout spent 12 seasons as first-team player.

Alongside Angulo, Raúl Pérez who was born in Barcelona and boasts Tercera División experience winning promotion to Segunda RFEF for SD Formentera last season. Milestone that he had previously reached the season before winning promotion to Segunda B for CD Laredo and other clubs before like Gimnástica Torrelavega, CF Torre Levante and for the Racing Santander setup.

VCF Mestalla’s coaching staff will be made up by the following members:

Head Coach: Miguel Ángel Angulo

Assistant Coach: Raúl Pérez

Talent Manager: Javi Venta

Fitness Coach : Sergi Benet

Analyst: Guillermo Guerra

Goalkeeping Coach: Unai Alba

Pitch Delegate: Carlos Arroyo

VCF Mestalla’s backroom staff is also made up by David Fuster, Head of the Talent Management department, the physiotherapists Juan Carlos Suárez and Pascual Castell, the team doctors Amparo Puig and Cristina Pérez, the strength and conditioning coaches Núria Sánchez and Ángel García and the kit man Víctor Blasco.
