Today Raphaël Varane celebrates his 28th birthday in his tenth season at Real Madrid. The Frenchman joined the club in the summer of 2011 and is the fourth longest-serving first-team player in the squad after Ramos, Marcelo and Benzema. Varane has appeared in 356 games, scoring 17 goals in the process. His list of achievements as a Madrid player is as follows: 4 Champions League titles, 4 Club World Cups, 3 European Super Cups, 3 league titles, 1 Copa del Rey and 3 Spanish Super Cups.
The centre-back was born on 25 April 1993 in Lille (France) and he has made 37 appearances in this current campaign, in which he impressively bagged a brace in Real Madrid’s win over Huesca. When it comes to international football, Varane has been a regular in the full France team since the age of 19 and in 2018 he won the World Cup with his country.
