According to a report from Foot Mercato, Vancouver Whitecaps have reached an agreement with Le Havre AC for Emmanuel Sabbi (27). Le Club Doyen are set to receive a fee that is slightly above €1 million for the winger.
Sabbi who was born in Italy but has represented the United States at the senior level arrived in Le Havre in 2023 from Danish club Odense Boldklub for around €1 million. The winger was highly involved in the first team during his debut year making 33 appearances across all competitions and scoring five and assisting one.
However, game time has been slightly more limited since head coach Luka Elsner left in the summer for Stade de Reims and was replaced by Didier Digard. The former OGC Nice interim manager has used Sabbi more sparingly, with the winger largely being used off the bench. He has not yet managed to register either a goal or an assist under his new head coach.
