Young attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni will be called up for Inter in their Champions League clash with Barcelona tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 17-year-old will be included in the squad for the group stage clash to reinforce an attack that will be missing Romelu Lukaku and possibly Lautaro Martinez.

Carboni made his senior debut for Inter in a substitute appearance against Roma over the weekend, and now the young Argentine is eligible to be included in a Champions League matchday squad.

With Lukaku certain to be 0ut and Martinez also a serious doubt, Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa will be the likely starting pair in attack, and behind them Carboni will be the understudy.
