Valencia are set to sign Stole Dimitrievski as a replacement for Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is expected to leave this summer.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Macedonian international has signed a four-year deal, which commits him to the club until June 2028. Meanwhile, Mamardashvili is attracting plenty of interest with clubs such as Newcastle United and Atlético Madrid monitoring his situation.
The 23-year-old is set to become Valencia’s latest star to depart this summer for financial reasons. Mamardashvili has performed exceptionally well since coming into the side in early 2021.
Los Ches have put the player up for sale, as they continue to balance their books to avoid breaking any financial regulations. The club value him around €30m and will be hoping one of the interested parties make an acceptable opening offer.
Although Mamardashvili is known for his supreme shot-stopping ability, he does have some weaknesses in in terms of coming off the line erratically and being unable to play out from the back comfortably. Dimitrievski has produced good numbers for Rayo Vallecano and is seen as an ideal replacement.
