There is still a lot of work left to do for FC Barcelona during this summer transfer window. La Blaugrana know that arrivals are crucial, but departures are equally important right now. After all, Barcelona is not exactly in an ideal financial situation at the moment.

Beyond just the arrival of Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia this summer, the Catalan club has also arranged other arrivals. Swedish talent Roony Bardghji has already been confirmed as a new signing, and Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford looks set to join as well.

However, that just gives the club all the more reason to consider certain departures as well. While the case of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen continues to remain problematic, there is another exit which could be far less troublesome to manage.

That would be the possible exit of 23-year-old forward Pau Victor this summer. Having already had limited opportunities last season, the arrival of more offensive players means that his chances in the upcoming campaign could be even less.

Interestingly, that is where Valencia could possibly come in and be considered by Barça as the right destination for the forward. According to SPORT, the fellow La Liga club has already even proposed a deal to La Blaugrana before concerning Victor’s possible departure.

Valencia reportedly want to sign the 23-year-old forward on a loan deal for next season, and it would include a purchase option as well. Moreover, the La Liga side was even willing to risk various penalty clauses if the player does not end up getting regular minutes if he joins them.

Furthermore, Valencia coach Carlos Corberan remains personally interested in signing Pau Victor for his team. Even beyond that, the deal could possibly include a buy-back clause that would be Barça’s to trigger if they ever want to get the forward back.

Barcelona remain adamant about a permanent deal

Barcelona, on the other hand, reportedly remain adamant that they are only considering a permanent sale. With a reported asking price of around €10 million, that is the amount that the Catalan giants want for the young forward.

For now, negotiations reportedly remain stalled but Valencia are not completely out of the picture just yet. The player would even be open to the move, as the report highlights that it would allow him to continue developing in the Spanish league.

At the same time, however, there are reportedly other European clubs more willing to pay the €10 million price tag for the player. It remains to be seen what happens next, but Barcelona will likely take him on the preseason tour to Asia unlike another player who looks set to be left behind.
