Soler said, "It's come at a time in which I've turned 24 years old, with a little more maturity and a few years of playing many games in the Primera División for Valencia CF. This comes off the back of the Olympic Games, and a good performance there to win the silver medal. I'm happy to help in these coming games."

The midfielder has already been part of the national team setup, as during the runup to Euro 2020 he was part of the reserve squad convened at the last minute.

“I did what I think any player would have done. When the national team coach calls you up, it doesn't matter where you've been; I would have gone anyway. I was going to go to Mexico for a few days beforehand, but it really didn't matter."
