Valencia are in advanced talks to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Ilaix Moriba on-loan.

Marca says there will not be an option to buy included in the deal for Los Che, with Leipzig still optimistic that the Guinea international can be a success in Germany.

Since leaving Barcelona for 16 million euros last summer, Ilaix has struggled to get regular in the Leipzig team and has played a total of just 100 minutes for the club, with former head coach Jesse Marsch regularly leaving him on the bench before his dismissal at the start of December.

Ilaix is now ready to get back to action at club level after Guinea were eliminated at the last-16 stage of the Africa Cup of Nations by Gambia, with the former La Masia graduate having been named as the best young player of the group stage.

Valencia are ready to offer Ilaix an important role in the team as Daniel Wass' replacement, with the Dane currently finalising his move to Atletico Madrid.
