La Liga outfit Valencia have today been afforded an altogether timely boost on the personnel front.
This comes in the form of confirmation that Sergi Canós has returned to training with the rest of Rubén Baraja’s squad.
Attacker Canós, for his part, was forced into a premature departure from Valencia’s final outing leading into the international break.
This came owing to a muscular problem suffered during the first-half of an eventual 1-0 defeat at the hands of Villarreal.
The 27-year-old had since spent the last two weeks recovering, in the hopes of being available for Los Che’s upcoming meeting with Granada.
And, if the latest word stemming from Valencia’s training ground on Tuesday is anything to go by, then as much is beginning to look increasingly likely.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Canós rejoined his teammates at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna today, seeing out the entirety of the morning training session.
With Roman Yaremchuk having been condemned to his own spell on the sidelines this past weekend, news of Canós’ return could not come at a better time, ahead of Thursday’s La Liga trip to Los Cármenes, to take on Granada.
