Sudinfo are reporting that Spanish side Valencia, alongside an unamed English Championship side, are interested in making a move for Standard Liege’s midfielder Selim Amallah. Since refusing to sign a new deal, the Moroccan attacking midfielder has not featured for the Walloon club.
Amallah has been part of the Moroccan World Cup side that made history by being the first African nation to make the semi-finals of a world cup. The 26 year-old came on during the semi-final but was substituted in the 78th minute as the side looked to find a way back into the game against France.
Amallah joined Standard Liege in 2020 from Mouscron, and has gone on to make 97 appearances in all competition, scoring an impressive 31 goals and providing 11 assists. So far this season he has made 9 appearances, scoring four times and providing one assist. Standard head coach Ronny Deila had spoken about wanting Amallah to stay at the club, but it looks like that will not be happening and both parties would like a transfer to happen in January.
