Vagner Love: 'São Paulo do not know how to play against us' | OneFootball

On Sunday, Corinthians defeated Clássico Majestoso rivals São Paulo 1-0 in a rematch of the Campeonato Paulista final thanks to Pedrinho’s seventh-minute goal.

The win vaulted Corinthians to third place on 11 points and gave São Paulo their first loss of the Brasileirão season.

After the victory, Vagner Love, who started up top, claimed Corinthians have got their rivals figured out.

“It’s not that it’s an easy club to beat. São Paulo has a great team. They just do not know how to play against us, and we know how to play against them.

“We were better prepared to play, the way to play São Paulo.”

The last time São Paulo defeated Corinthians was back in July 2018. Corinthians have won three matches and drawn two more since that time.

Corinthians will next play on Thursday against Venezuelan side Deportivo Lara in the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana second round.

Corinthians won the first leg 2-0 last Thursday.
