Vagner Love: Corinthians need to sign more players this summer | OneFootball

After losing to second-division side Botafogo-SP in a friendly on Saturday night, Vagner Love stressed the need for more reinforcements before the Brasileirão resumes.

The 35-year-old was adamant that, unlike Corinthians, other clubs like Flamengo and Palmeiras have quality players that can come off the bench to make an impact.

“We need to shoot more. We have quality players who have fantastic skills and can pass the ball around.

“I think we have to do more of this, try to infiltrate more in the opponent’s defense to create more chances and, by the time the Brasileirão comes back, put that into practice.

“We have a good group, but I believe that some players with different characteristics are missing.

“Suddenly, we can have a player who steps on the field as a second striker or a player who gives more assists.

“I think it’s those players that we might need… that Corinthians are missing and that other clubs have.”

Corinthians will engage in a pair of friendlies against Vila Nova and Londrina before resuming Brasileirão play against CSA on 14 July.
