Vaccine Passports still enforced for Celtic’s trip to Tannadice | OneFootball

Celtic fans will have to have their vaccine passports handy for the game against Dundee United at the beginning of December. Ange Postecoglou’s team travel to Tannadice on December 5th and despite First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement earlier this week that negative Lateral Flow tests would suffice for access.

However, the Daily Record are reporting proof of vaccination is still required for the supporters as the change will not come into force until Monday December 6. Celtic have two home games in the League before the trip to face Dundee United – Aberdeen and Hearts.

Although after this date, fans will be able to present the passport or a recent negative test for entry into stadiums, something that means that those that are not fully vaccinated can attend games.

Whilst the restrictions may be a pain, they appear to be a necessary evil allowing us to return to games and enjoy watching Celtic. Ideally, in the next few months the requirement will disappear and fans can move away from worrying about COVID-19. However, the Scottish Government and the SPFL clubs are dedicated to making sure venues are as safe as possible for fans.
