Juventus U19 comfortably dispatched of Liverpool U19 to seal their place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Youth League.
Scorers: Miretti 66′, Chibozo 69′.
Juventus were never really troubled in the game by the visitors and Liverpool’s task was made difficult when goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek had to be withdrawn due to injury midway through the first half.
Luke Hewitson came on to replace the Pole and was called into action straight away to deny Matias Soulé’s free-kick before the striker then blazed over from close range.
Andrea Bonatti’s side had more than enough chances to go in at the break ahead and Gabriele Mulazzi really should’ve broken the deadlock when he was found six yards out but his header glanced wide.
The dominance continued into the second half and two goals inside three minutes sealed the win for the Italians.
Soulé’s backheel set up Fabio Miretti who produced a driven low shot to beat Hewitson from 20 yards out.
Within moments it was two as some good work from Mulazzi played in Angel Chibozo to tuck home from just inside the area to book their place in the final four.
