UWCL DRAW: WSL trio learn of group stage opponents | OneFootball

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have learnt of their opponents in the group stage of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League.

The draw for the group stage took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland this afternoon. The draw was also streamed live via UEFA’s official media channels.

Based on UEFA club co-efficient, Chelsea went into the draw as one of the four top seeds in Pot 1. The Blues’ domestic rivals Arsenal and Manchester City were entered into Pot 2 after coming through the qualifying rounds to reach the group stage. None of the English clubs could be drawn together in the same group at this stage of the competition.

The draw determined that Chelsea will face Real Madrid, FC Twente and Celtic in Group B. Arsenal have been drawn in Group C alongside Bayern Munich, Juventus and Vålerenga while Manchester City will face FC Barcelona, SKN St. Pölten and Hammarby IF in Group D. Final fixture dates, venues and kick-off times will be announced in due course.

The UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage kicks-off on 8 and 9 October 2024 while the final round of group matches will be staged on 17 and 18 December 2024.

This season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League final will take place at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal on 24/25 May 2025.
