The group stage draw took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland this lunchtime and was broadcast live on uefa.com.
As Barclays Women’s Super League champions, Chelsea enter this season’s competition in the group stage. The Blues were one of the top seeds after being placed in Pot 1.
After seeing off Dutch club Ajax in Round 2, Arsenal were placed into Pot 2, meaning that they were guaranteed to be drawn with one top seed from France, Spain or Germany.
Chelsea have been drawn in Group A alongside French club Paris Saint-Germain, Spanish side Real Madrid and FKK Vllaznia of Albania. The Blues undoubtedly face two tough opponents in PSG and Real Madrid.
Arsenal will participate in Group C along with reigning European champions Lyon, Italian side Juventus and Swiss club FC Zürich. The Gunners will come up against former boss Joe Montemurro in the group stage who is now in charge of Juventus.
The group stage matches will take place between 19 October 2022 and 22 December 2022. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals which are scheduled to take place in early 2023.
