Brøndby beat Vålerenga on penalties in their delayed UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 32 tie to go into the hat for the next stage.
Dejana Stefanović had scored a 16th-minute spot-kick for Vålerenga but was ironically the only player to miss in the shoot-out, which was required after Josefine Hasbo’s leveller 12 minutes from time.
Tuesday’s Round of 16 draw will be streamed live on uefa.com at 11am (UK time), with the two-legged matches scheduled for 3/4 and 10/11 March.
The draw will pit eight seeded sides against unseeded teams, although no club can meet an opponent from their own association.
Seeded teams: Lyon, Wolfsburg, Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Chelsea, Rosengård
Unseeded teams: Atlético Madrid, Brøndby, Fortuna Hjørring, LSK Kvinner, BIIK-Kazygurt, Sparta Praha, Fiorentina, St. Pölten
Austria’s St. Pölten are the only team reaching this stage for the first time, while BIIK and Fiorentina have never made the quarter-finals.
