The 2022 edition of the tournament will run from July 4 to July 18 entirely in Monterrey, Mexico, with the 16 matches split across Estadio Universitario and Estadio BBVA.

Group-stage matches will be played on July 4, 5, 7, 8, and 11, with the semi-finals on July 14. The third-place match and championship game will be held on July 18.

The United States and Canada earned direct entry to the CWC after winning the 2019 World Cup and Gold at the Tokyo Olympics respectively, while the other six teams advanced through a final competition that ran during the February and April FIFA windows.

The results of the CWC will also determine qualifiers for the 2023 Women’s World Cup. The top two teams in each group earn spots in the international tournament, set to be played in Australia and New Zealand with a format of 32 nations for the first time ever.

The winner of the CWC will also secure their spot at the 2024 Olympics in France.

The two third-placed finishers of each group advance to a 10-nation intercontinental playoff that will then determine the three remaining World Cup tickets.
