The American side stands as the reigning Nations League Champions, after triumphing 3-2 over Mexico in extra time in 2021. Now, the USMNT sit in second place on the Group D table, with four points in two games and a record of one victory against Grenada and a draw vs. El Salvador.

But there are two remaining matches to be played in the group stage of the 2022/2023 tournament. The USMNT will kick off the Nations League window with a visit to Grenada on March 24 at Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Saint George, before hosting El Salvador.

The American team boasts a strong 5W-0D-0L record at Exploria Stadium, managing victories in previous World Cup qualifiers and Concacaf Nations League matches to remain undefeated at the venue. Their latest triumph in Orlando came on March 27, 2022, when defeating Panama 5-1 in a World Cup qualifier.  Goals from Chrisitan Pulisic, Jesus Ferreira and Paul Arriola propelled the USMNT to triumph, extending their dominance at Exploria Stadium.

The USMNT will likely enter the competitive March window with an interim manager, after Gregg Berhalter's contract ended following the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The US Soccer Federation have yet to appoint a successor, or provide an update on Berhalter's situation.

In the meantime, assistant coach Anthony Hudson has stepped up as interim manager and led the USMNT in the January camp.
