United States captain Christian Pulisic has opened up on his career-changing transfer from Chelsea to Milan. Back from international duty, the quicksilver forward discussed his life in Italy during a comprehensive interview with Calciomercato.

I am very much in love with Italy, it changed my career. And so did Milan,” Pulisic said. “I’m really appreciating this adventure: the fans, the stadium… you should come to San Siro. I’ve never seen something like it.”

Milan paid Chelsea approximately €22 million to sign the 26-year-old last summer. It’s been worth every penny as the USMNT winger hit the ground running since day one.

In 2023/24, Pulisic made 50 appearances for Milan across all competitions, tallying 15 goals and 11 assists. His never-dying ambition to win has cemented him as one of the pillars of the San Siro outfit.

I always talk to my friends about the fact that, even if we are competing for small things, I want to win so much that I always look for a way to do it, in many situations,” Pulisic admitted.

Pulisic has emerged as Rossoneri’s headline performer this season. After an impressive first season at Milan, he has elevated his performance to the next level in 2024/25. He has mustered five goals and two assists in seven Serie A matches thus far.

After being released from the national team camp earlier by Mauricio Pochettino, Pulisic should be fit and firing when Milan take on Udinese in a must-win league fixture on Saturday.
