Germany and Ghana are two opponents that the US knows quite well.

The US and Germany faced each other in the Group stage at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where Germany won 1-0 with a 55th-minute goal from Thomas Mueller. Die Mannschaft would go on to win the tournament shortly after that.

Ghana has beaten the United States twice in World Cup matches, in 2006 and 2010, and is now hoping to achieve their first victory on American soil in the overall series.

As for the US, they're still on the hunt for a permanent head coach after interim manager Anthony Hudson resigned from his position to take a club football job in the Middle East. The USMNT is expected to have a permanent head coach by October next year. According to  Matt Crocker, US Sporting Director, the US will hire a new manager before the end of this summer.

For now, B.J. Callaghan will serve as the interim head coach.
