United States Men's National Team interim head coach Anthony Hudson has praised Paxten Aaronson's debut performance against Colombia.

Having already emerged from the Philadelphia Union and secured a big move to Europe with Eintracht Frankfurt, Aaronson further emulated his older brother, Leeds United star Brenden, by becoming a full US international.

Aaronson played the full 90 minutes as the Stars and Stripes drew 0-0 with Colombia, putting in a vintage 'Aaronson' performance full of energy, endeavor, and a few exciting moments in the final third.

This is just the start for the 19-year-old Aaronson, but it's a start Hudson was certainly impressed with.

"Paxten is a really exciting player, hugely confident," Hudson said following Saturday's match. "He came in a day or two late but you can see his quality. We don't know what his level will be, but we believe in his talent and will see what he can do."

Of course, Aaronson was just one of 11 debutants during this window as Hudson looked to give chances to players who wouldn't normally get a look had the likes of Christian Pulisic and Tyler Adams been around.

Though the USMNT didn't pick up a win against either Serbia or Colombia, Hudson believes they did what they set out to do in terms of blooding some young talent.

"Overall, I think we achieved our objectives,'' Hudson said. "There's a bunch of players we wanted to see with us, to see in competitive situations. It was a case of being able to look at those players in our environment and being able to get through two games physically."
