The United States Men’s National Team lifted the CONCACAF Nations League for the third successive year on Sunday following a 2-0 victory over Mexico in Arlington, Texas.
Scorers: Adams 45′, Reyna 63′
A stunning long-range strike from Tyler Adams gave Gregg Berhalter’s side the lead just before half-time.
With Giovanni Reyna tucking in at the near post on the half volley to make it 2-0 just after the hour mark.
Mexico thought they’d been given a route back into the game when USMNT defender Antonee Robinson conceded a penalty for a high boot, but the referee’s on-field decision was overturned by a VAR check.
