Admirers of Iliman Ndiaye believe Sheffield United’s current financial position can be exploited in their pursuit of the forward.
According to The Star, the likes of Everton are considering lowballing the Blades with an offer around the £13 to 15 million mark for Ndiaye.
United are currently under a transfer embargo, with finances also not at their strongest amid a potential sale of the club.
The embargo comes as a result of the club having not repaid an old debt, which has radically changed the landscape at Bramall Lane in the January window.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side are comfortably clear of the chasing pack as they sit 2nd in the Championship table.
But the departure of Reda Khadra this month, as well as the ongoing injury to Rhian Brewster, has left the team looking a little lighter in attack.

The club do not expect Ndiaye to kick up any kind of fuss in the remaining days of the winter window.
Instead, United feel that the player’s representatives will wait until the summer to make clear their intentions for Ndiaye’s future.
The Verdict
It remains to be seen what the outcome of United’s transfer embargo will be, or when it will arrive.
The sale of the club is also yet to be resolved, with no timeframe given on when it might be either.
But despite these issues, it is unlikely for United to sanction a sale at such a price unless their situation is even direr than we realise.
Ndiaye is a valuable asset and a key player in Heckingbottom’s side, so as long as he remains content at Bramall Lane then it is hard to imagine United cashing in at such a low fee.
