AC Milan have shown an interest in signing Vasco da Gama attacking midfielder Marlon Gomes, according to a report from Brazil.
According to a report from UOL Esporte in Brazil, Milan have Marlon Gomes on their list of potential signings for the summer having closely followed his performance with the Brazilian national team at the U20 South American Championship.
The report adds that delegates from the Rossoneri even even held a meeting in Colombia to discuss the player. Milan have not yet put any official offer on the table of Vasco da Gama, but the idea is to open negotiations closer to the reopening of the transfer window in Europe.
Gomes was born in December 2003 in Rio de Janeiro and he joined Vasco back in 2017, eventually breaking into the first team last year at the age of 19, making 18 appearances, scoring two goals and adding two assists. He predominantly played as a box-to-box midfielder but can play as a playmaker or out wide.
