Anthony Ralston spoke to the Mainstream Media this afternoon ahead of the return to action for Celtic at Fir Park tomorrow afternoon in the 3pm kick-off. A slightly smaller than usual Celtic support will be there, restricted to the away stand behind the goal and the rest of the support based in Scotland can watch via the Motherwell FC stream service.

Frustratingly for those south of the border, and perhaps in Ireland, this is not going to be available. Anyway back to Tony Ralston who was quite happy to talk up the start to the season that Celtic have had as being excellent even if some results haven’t gone our way.

Ralston is a big fan of the new style of play brought to the club by Ange Postecoglou and after been almost totally ignored by Neil Lennon he is also a big fan of getting picked to play. And few could argue that the faith shown in Ralston by the manager has not been rewarded.

With the chance for the players not away on international duty to get more time in on the training ground with the manager Ralston reckons that this will stand Celtic in good stead for the fixtures to come.

“Now that all the boys are back, we’re all ready to go as a team and focus on tomorrow’s game,” Ralston said. “There were a lot of games leading up to the international break and it was nice to get a few days.

“But I was wanting to just get back to work and get back in training, which all the boys who didn’t go away have been doing, we’ve all been working hard.

“To win at Aberdeen was important, but that is in the past now and we’ve got a game tomorrow and that’s an important game, which every game is, and we look to go and head on and get another win,” Ralston added.

“We’re all feeling positive, the boys that were away on international duty have all come back healthy, which is good. So we are ready to go in to tomorrow’s game, we’re all positive we can get the result.

“It’s important that we focus on ourselves, and we go into the game and get the win.”
