Inter are not likely to have to have to pay the full €4 million specified by the clause in Arturo Vidal’s contract to avoid extending his deal due to the fact that he is close to agreeing a move to Flamengo.

This according to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, who report that the 35-year-old’s imminent agreement with the Brazilian giants could mean that the Nerazzurri could avoid having to pay the clause in order to agree an exit with the Chilean midfielder.

Vidal now looks to be on the verge of signing Flamengo, with the Brazilians winning the race for him ahead of a number of interested clubs, and the move has not been much of a secret over the past few months.

The Chilean has spoken openly about the fact that he would welcome a move to the Brazilian giants, whilst he has been in talks with them for a while through his representatives.

Now that the agreement looks to be all but done for the move, the Nerazzurri will not likely need to pay the €4 million clause to secure Vidal’s departure, as he will look to free himself from his current club so that he can swiftly complete the move to Flamengo.
