Manchester United are without nine first-team stars ahead of the Premier League game at West Ham United on Sunday.
The Red Devils drew 1-1 at Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night – their third draw in the competition this season.
United visit West Ham this weekend and they have numerous injury concerns to contend with.
Leny Yoro (foot), Tyrell Malacia (knee) and Luke Shaw (calf) are long-term absentees. The trio have returned to individual training, but are yet to be integrated into full team sessions.
Mason Mount (knock), Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire (both muscular) are also on the sidelines, having yet to recover from respective injuries picked up before the international break.
Youngsters Dan Gore and Toby Collyer, who are part of the first-team squad, won’t be available for the game, having also suffered injuries. This was confirmed by United’s official website.
Antony sustained a possible ankle sprain against Fenerbahce yesterday and he was spotted leaving the stadium with a protective boot.
United will likely be without nine players against the Hammers, but there is a significant boost with Bruno Fernandes available for selection after serving his one-game ban in Europe.
Jonny Evans was ruled out with a knock against Brentford last weekend, but manager Erik ten Hag is hopeful that he will recover in time to face the Hammers.
United have had to cope with numerous injuries for some time. Ten Hag personally acknowledged in his press conference that the club’s progress in the league has been hampered.
However, he still has a strong squad at his disposal, and the Red Devils have the opportunity to record consecutive wins in the Premier League for the first time this season.
