Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios this summer.

The 24-year-old joined the Sao Paulo outfit last year and enjoyed an excellent debut season, making 29 appearances across all competitions.

He also started all six matches at the Copa America 2024 as Colombia made it to the final, where they lost 1-0 to Argentina.

The midfielder’s excellent displays have caught the attention of United who have enquired about him, per Goal Brasil.

The Red Devils are reportedly preparing a £17 million offer to secure his services this summer.

They have completed deals for Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to bolster their attack and defence.

United want to strengthen and are already negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain over a move for Manuel Ugarte.

He is keen to join the Premier League giants, and an agreement with PSG over the transfer fee is close. However, United are also looking to sign Rios.

The 24-year-old mainly operates as a central midfielder but can also be utilised as a defensive and as a right midfielder.

Palmeiras are reluctant to lose the midfielder in the middle of the season, but a big offer could change their mind.
