Manchester United have approached both Aston Villa and Chelsea to gauge the feasibility of a swap deal for Alejandro Garnacho.
As things stand, the two clubs have shown the most concrete interest in signing Garnacho this summer, and they’d both allow him to fulfil his desire of staying in the Premier League.
Formal proposals are yet to be submitted by either, but with time ticking until 2025/2026 gets underway, United are seemingly taking matters into their own hands to try and sanction their academy graduate’s exit.

According to the Independent, the players United have asked for in return are Nicolas Jackson or Ollie Watkins.
An issue from Chelsea’s perspective with that prospective transfer is that they value Jackson, 24, in the region of £80 million, whilst they’d be unwilling to fork out over £30m for Garnacho.
That being said, their recent acquisitions of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro have left Jackson facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, and he may eventually decide to push for a move if it looks as though he’ll be playing a heavily reduced role next term.

In regards to Watkins, 29, he’s been identified as the ideal acquisition for the majority of United fans this window. His prolific Premier League record – 75 goals and 36 assists in 184 appearances across five seasons – speaks for itself.
Yet, sending Garnacho in exchange for the England international is far from a like-for-like swap for Villa to have to navigate, although reports have claimed they’ve been scouring the market for potential striker signings, suggesting they may be privately preparing to part ways with their free-scoring talisman.
