Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder Teddy Teuma says the Pro league side are just focusing on having fun in their Europa League debut against Union Berlin.
After losing to Rangers in Champions League qualifying, the club are to play in the Europa League for the first time ever on Thursday.
Their first opponent will be Union Berlin, who will also be making their competition debut after finishing fifth in the Bundesliga last season.
Looking ahead to the match, Teuma says he and his team-mates are just looking to make sure they enjoy the occasion.
“It will be a very difficult game for us, that’s for sure,” he told Het Nieuwsblad.
“But I have to be honest: we go to Berlin to have fun, because you have to take advantage of such moments as a footballer. But of course, we will also prove what we are capable of.
“Union Berlin is a fantastic team and there is also a wonderful atmosphere there. We will certainly have to be at our best to achieve a result. I know some of the players, and like I said, it’s a really strong team.
“We’ll see how it goes on Thursday.”
