Union Berlin have confirmed the appointment of Nenad Bjelica as the club’s new head coach.
The 52-year-old replaces Urs Fischer, who was sacked just under two weeks ago after a disastrous run of form, which sees the club one place off the bottom of the Bundesliga.

Bjelica has previously coached Austria Wien and Dinamo Zagreb among others and most recently worked for Trabonzspor.
His first game in charge of Union will be a Champions League away game at Braga, with a result being needed to provide any hope of third place and Europa League football in the new year.
