Scorers: Vogt 26' (pen), Vertessen 45'
After thrashing Celtic in midweek, Borussia Dortmund were brought firmly back down to earth as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Union Berlin.
Nuri Şahin's side looked pedestrian in the first half, and were punished just before the half hour mark when Nico Schlotterbeck conceded a penalty which veteran defender Kevin Vogt confidently dispatched.
Dortmund were poor, and Union doubled their lead on the stroke of halftime as Yorbe Vertessen smashed home from the edge of the penalty area following a corner, leaving the Black and Yellow with a mountain to climb.
Şahin's side improved after the break, and pulled one back courtesy of fullback Julian Ryerson just after the hour mark, but they could not find an equaliser and were consigned to their second defeat in three games.
