QPR saw their 2021/22 unbeaten run ended by Bournemouth last night on the South Coast but the performance of Sam McCallum has left many fans feeling positive.

The R’s were two down at the break courtesy of 21-year-old Cherries winger Jaidon Anthony, who pinched the ball off Rob Dickie before scoring the opener and then set up Dominic Solanke for the second.

Mark Warburton’s men are a difficult side to keep down, however, and they pulled themselves back into the game in the second half courtesy of McCallum – the defender showing tidy footwork and a strong finish to score his first goal of the season.

The 21-year-old joined on loan from Norwich City in the summer but missed the first few months of the season due to illness.

He’s recovered from that now and is showing R’s fans just how impressive a young player he is, raiding forward on a number of occasions as well as keeping multiple members of Bournemouth’s impressive attacking unit quiet.
