Chelsea meet Tottenham today marking the 1,000 game of the Roman Abramovich era.

In the summer of 2003, Abramovich became our owner and embarked upon a spending spree that would elevate Chelsea to title contenders and worthy of dining at Europe's top table.

The first game of his reign was he first leg of a Champions League qualifying tie against Zilina.

A mixture of old favourites and new signings took to the field in Slovakia, helping Chelsea to get off to a winning start with a 2-0 victory.
