Currently loaned out to Greek side Olympiacos, Palma has found it tough to leave a mark at Celtic under Brendan Rodgers and seems unlikely to feature in the manager’s future plans.
The Hoops secured Palma’s services from Greek club Aris FC in the summer of 2023, paying a fee of £3.5 million. Now, Ukrainian source DynamoKyiv.ua has reported that Dynamo Kyiv have been given the opportunity to sign the 25-year-old and are set to evaluate the proposal ahead of the summer transfer window.
“According to our information, Dynamo has offered a Celtic player, namely Luis Palma. He is a left winger, a player of the Honduras national team. Let’s see how Dynamo will look at him this summer,” the DynamoKyiv.ua update reads.

Olympiacos have the option to sign Luis Palma permanently for €4 million, though it’s still unclear if the Greek club will choose to exercise that clause. Celtic would be keen to strike a deal that recovers their original outlay, especially with Palma falling down the pecking order at Celtic Park.
Rodgers and the Celtic management team are aiming to streamline the first-team squad, looking to offload peripheral players who don’t align with the manager’s future vision – especially if the club are to make continuous progress in the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Luis Palma featured in 42 games for Celtic last season, netting 12 goals and providing 13 assists, but his form significantly declined into this campaign, leading to a loan switch to Olympiacos on 1st February 2025.

During the international break last month, Palma gave an interview to local outlet Diario La Prensa in Honduras, where he was asked to address his current status at Celtic. He said: “I’m still with them, and as long as there’s no transfer, I’ll continue to be grateful to Celtic; but it’s time to defend Olympiacos.”

Recent speculation regarding Dynamo Kyiv marks the clearest sign yet that Rodgers and Celtic are preparing to part ways with Palma in the summer.
