The UK finished fifth at the 3rd USPE European Police Championship in Norway after beating Denmark 2-1 in a play-off.

Paris Smith and Alison Smyth got the goals in Trondheim, after their side had beaten Ireland in the last group game, to go into the placement match for fifth and sixth place.

UK Police earlier lost a very physical came with the Netherlands 1-0 and conceded two late goals to go down 3-0 to Germany.

Ireland lost the seventh-place play-off 1-0 to the Czech Republic, Netherlands finished third with a 5-1 defeat of France.

Norway and Germany contested the final and it was the latter who won on penalties, as they continued their record of having never lost at the tournament.
