Uganda Cranes secured solid 2 - 0 victory over Niger in the African Nations Championship CHAN group stage moving to the top of Group C with 6 point after three matches.

Okello Opens the Scoring

After cagey start, Uganda nearly took the lead in the 14 minute when Enock Ssebagala headed wide from pinpoint Herbert Achai cross. The breakthrough came in the 25 minute following VAR reviewed penalty. Allan Okello saw his spot kick saved but reacted quickly to nod in the rebound for 1 - 0.

Joel Doubles the Lead

In the 56 minute, Joel Sserunjogi made it 2-0 firing home from close range after being set up by Okello. Uganda’s defence remained rock solid denying Niger any real chances to get back into the match.
