Barcelona v Eintracht Frankfurt

Scorers: Busquets 90+1′ Depay (PEN) 90+11; Kostić (PEN) 4′ 67′, Borré 36′

Eintracht Frankfurt secured one of the most famous victories in their history as they beat Barcelona 3-2 at Camp Nou.

An estimated 30,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans made themselves heard at Camp Nou this evening with this game poised at 1-1.

And it was the visitors who took the lead inside four minutes as Filip Kostic netted from the penalty spot.

The Bundesliga outfit were showing their class and soon doubled their lead on 36 minutes as Santos Borré fired in a stunning effort.

After the break Barça went all out for a way back into the game with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang going close on 50 minutes.

But it was Eintracht who added to their tally for the night as Kostić grabbed a third with a neat finish.

Barça did pull two back late on as Sergio Busquets finished well and Memphis Depay netted a penalty, but it wasn’t enough.

Lyon v West Ham

Scorers: Dawson 39′, Rice 44′, Bowen 48′

West Ham were practically perfect as they beat Lyon 3-0 to claim a 4-1 aggregate and progress to the Europa League semi-finals.

West Ham were looking to make their first European semi-final in over 40 years as they travelled to Lyon with their game poised at 1-1.

But it was the home side who went closest early on as Karl Toko Ekambi’s effort rattled the crossbar.

David Moyes’s men slowly got themselves back in the game and almost went ahead midway through the half only for Jarrod Bowen to fire just wide at the far post.

With six minutes to go though, West Ham went ahead of Craig Dawson headed in from a corner and then doubled their lead right on the stroke of half time as Declan Rice finished well.

Into the second half and the Hammers got a third immediately as Fornals played in Bowen who finished with aplomb.

Rangers v Braga

Scorers: Tavernier 3′ (PEN) 44′ Roofe 101′; Carmo 83′

Rangers needed extra time but they eventually beat nine-man Braga 3-1 thanks to some Kemar Roofe brilliance.

Ibrox was bouncing as Rangers were aiming to overturn a 1-0 defeat to Braga in the first leg last week.

And it was the home side who broke the deadlock early on as James Tavernier rifled in from close range.

Rangers thought they had doubled their lead soon after but Roofe’s effort was chalked off after a VAR check.

Braga’s tasked for the evening was made harder on 42 minutes as Vitor Tormena was given a red card after a foul on Roofe with Tavernier then dispatching the resulting penalty.

Roofe was at the heart of everything the Gers were doing well and almost got their third in the second half but VAR ruled out his goal for offside.

Another goal was ruled out for the hosts late on as Aaron Ramsey’s bundled effort was deemed illegal for a foul on the goalkeeper.

Rangers would pay for that profligacy late on as David Carmo headed in to level the scores on aggregate.

Roofe’s good work would finally pay off in extra time as he scored right on the stroke of half time with a tap in.

The Portuguese outfit then went down to nine men as Iuri Medeiros was given a second yellow card.

Atalanta v RB Leipzig

Scorers: Nkunku 19′, (PEN) 87′

Christopher Nkunku was the difference as RB Leipzig beat Atalanta 2-0 to progress to the Europa League semi-finals.

This match was on a knife edge after the first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.

But it was the away side who drew first blood here as Christopher Nkunku continued his stunning form this season with a goal inside the opening 20 minutes.

Into the second half the Italian outfit thought they had a shout for a penalty after what looked like a clear handball but a VAR review overturned the spot kick.

And with just a few minutes to go Leipizg got a penalty of their own – which was given this time – that Nkunku dispatched.
