As with City’s men’s team, our Under-19s will find out who our opponents will be in one of Europe’s most prestigious competitions on Thursday evening.

And in tandem with the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Youth League from 2024/25 onwards will be in a new format.

So, here is everything you need to know about the format and the draw for the League Stage.

LEAGUE STAGE

Just like the Champions League, the teams will be part of one league made up of 36 teams.

The first six teams that are revealed to play Pep Guardiola’s side, will be the same six (three home and three away) games that Ben Wilkinson and his squad will face.

PROGRESSION TO THE KNOCKOUT STAGE

A win in the league will earn you three points and a draw one point.

The top 22 teams after the six matchdays will progress to the Round of 32.

The remaining 10 teams will be determined by the domestic champions pathway

If you finish lower, you will be eliminated from the competition.

WHEN IS THE DRAW?

The draw will commence at 17:00 (UK) at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco on Thursday 29 August.

TEAMS IN THE DRAW

England: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City.

Scotland: Celtic.

Spain: Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Real Madrid.

Germany: Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Stuttgart.

And under the new format – where three games will be home and three away – it means City’s Under-19s will play a new team in each fixture.

WHERE CAN YOU WATCH THE DRAW?

The draw will be livestreamed on UEFA.com and UEFA.tv.
