UEFA fine Roma for FFP breach, but Inter and Milan given all-clear | OneFootball

UEFA announced that Milan and Inter have kept to their Financial Fair Play targets, whereas Roma were fined €2m for a minor breach.

The CFCB (Club Financial Control Body) completed its assessment of the clubs who participated in the 2023-24 season and were under settlement regimes.

Milan, Inter, AS Monaco, Olympique Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain, Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Royal Antwerp were all found to have fulfilled the intermediate financial targets set for the financial year 2023.

However, Roma “slightly exceeded” the intermediate target and have therefore been fined €2m.

The Rossoneri and Nerazzurri are in the Champions League, while the Giallorossi compete in the Europa League.

UEFA clamp down on other clubs

Istanbul Basaksehir breached their final target and would be excluded from the next UEFA competition they qualified for unless complying with football earning rules in the 2024-25 season, along with a limit on their squad list and the ability to sign new players.

Aston Villa and Olympique Marseille were fined €60,000 and €20,000 respectively for late submission of their financial information.
