UEFA Euro 2024 is the next big football tournament for Gareth Southgate’s England and we can reveal all the latest information about the qualifiers for this prestigious event.

Every European nation will have to qualify for the finals of this competition. With their only 23 spots available alongside hosts Germany (who automatically qualify), there will be some big countries who miss out.

The last Euro tournament saw Italy crowned the champions as they beat England on penalties, and the country, who then missed out on qualifying for the 2022 World Cup, will be hoping they can lift the trophy again.

How do you qualify for Euro 2024?

For these matches, each nation is put in a group, and the countries will only play those in their group in order to qualify.

There are seven groups, and there are five nations in each of these groups. Meanwhile, there are three extra groups with six teams. Every country will play each other twice, and then the ten winners of each group and the ten group runners-up qualify directly for Euro 2024.

There are three more qualifying spots, and these will be known following the play-offs in March 2024.
