Uefa have confirmed that the 2020/21 Champions League final will now take place at FC Porto’s Estádio do Dragão.
The all-English final between Chelsea and Manchester City was originally supposed to be held at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul but has been switched to Portugal due to Turkey’s Covid-19 lockdown situation.
Elite football matches in Portugal are currently being played behind closed doors but the Portuguese government will reportedly ease lockdown restrictions in time for the end of the Primeira Liga season on 19 May.
Thanks to the change, 6,000 fans of each team will be able to attend.
