Roma’s struggles to maintain consistency this season are one of the main reasons the Giallorossi are looking to strengthen Jose Mourinho’s roster in January.

One of the priorities remains the right-back position, namely finding a suitable back-up for Rick Karsdorp.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma’s deal for Sampdoria’s Bereszyński has been put on hold.

The Giallorossi are also closely monitoring the situation around Diogo Dalot of Manchester United.

The Italian newspaper reports that Udinese’s Jens Stryger Larsen has been offered by some intermediaries to the capital club.

The 30-year-old Danish international could emerge as a cheaper option in a tough winter market and would fit the bill as an experienced right-back ready to slot in for Karsdorp.
