Udinese want a fee of around €15 million for Inter Milan target Jaka Bijol, whilst Lens expect €35 million for Kevin Danso.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908.
One thing that looks fairly clear is that Inter will sign a defender this summer transfer window.
And it now looks like the long-term injury suffered by wingback Tajon Buchannan will play a big role in the Nerazzurri’s decision on who to decide.
The Canadian will miss the first few months of next season. Therefore, Inter intend to use Carlos Augusto exclusively as a wingback rather than having him play in the back three.
Accordingly, Inter will feel that with August tied up on the flank, there will not be enough depth for next season in terms of the depth options.
As Mediaset note, Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio suggested that the target will be a left-footed defender.
And in this respect, Mario Hermoso could be an ideal option. Partcularly considering he is available on a free transfer.
But according to Mediaset, there is also every chance that Inter will sign a right-footed defender. Particularly if such a player is available who is in the right age profile.
Inter want a young defender. Likely a player aged 25 or younger.
Both are already proficient playing in the centre of a back three. They are physically strong centre-backs with good man-marking ability in their own penalty area.
Therefore, either defender’s arrival would potentially allow Francesco Acerbi to back up Alessandro Bastoni, with Augusto playing as a wingback.
And according to Mediaset, Inter know what the price tag for both will be.
Udinese want at least €15 million for Slovenia international Bijol.
And Lenx will expect €35 million for Austrian Danso.
