Sampdoria continued their preparations for their Saturday-evening clash with Udinese (kick off at 20:45 CET at the Marassi) at a sunny Bogliasco this morning. After a meeting in the video room, Claudio Ranieri and his staff split the squad into two groups on pitch one.
The team continued their recovery from the weekend, with those involved most heavily in recent games doing some aerobic exercise as well as technical and tactical drills. The remainder of the squad – including Nik Prelec, who has recovered from a muscle complaint – did some strength work in the gym before partaking in some training matches on a reduced-size pitch.
Lorenzo Tonelli trained separately, while Alex Ferrari and Manolo Gabbiadini focused on their respective recoveries. On Thursday the squad will have another morning training session.
