Udinese coach Kosta Runjaic insists his next opponents Inter Milan are the most formidable side in Italian football.

The Zebrette will host the Nerazzurri on Saturday in one of the most anticipated fixtures of Serie A Matchday 6.

The Friulians started the campaign on a brilliant note. They were leading the Serie A charts after four rounds, before suffering a 0-3 away defeat to Roma.

Nevertheless, Udinese remain third in the table. They are ahead of Inter Milan who plunged to sixth place following their Derby defeat at the hands of AC Milan.

After beating Salernitana in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night, Runjaic’s men have begun their preparations for the big clash against the reigning Italian champions.

The German manager reveals he has been closely studying the Italian champions, noting how they do not have any weak points.

“Inter have no weak points, the players continuously change positions on the pitch, even if it doesn’t show,” said the 53-year-old in his pre-match press conference via FcInterNews.

“They are physically strong, they have many strong points. I watched some games from last season, studying how the boys will have to position themselves on the pitch.

“I firmly believe Inter are the strongest team in Serie A. Obviously they are not at the top yet, but we will have to give everything we have.

“We want to try to give our best in front of our fans, we will see what lessons we will learn from this match.”

The Udinese boss also ruled the injured Martin Payero out of the weekend contest.

“We still don’t know exactly how serious his injury is. His foot is still swollen. So we’ll have a precise confirmation at the beginning of the week with the instrumental tests.

“Clearly, he won’t be available against Inter and, if all goes well, he’ll be able to return to action after the international break.

“[Lautaro] Giannetti won’t be there either, we’ll see if he can return for the match against Lecce.”
