Lille have not had a great start to their UCL campaign. With one draw and one loss, they currently find themselves sitting at the bottom of the league with just one point. Jocelyn Gourvennec’ men have an uphill battle in front of them but a clash against in-form Sevilla would not be an easy obstacle to pass.

The French team drew their first match against Wolfsburg 0-0 while facing a 2-1 defeat to Salzburg in the second match. They have scored only once so far while conceding twice in the competition. Lille have to be more active in front of the goal if they want to beat Sevilla, the home factor certainly gives them an advantage.

The above viz shows that Lille dominated the majority of the match but gave away two penalties. They failed to come back into the match later on though Burak Yilmaz scored one goal but it was not enough for them. Lille dominated the entire match mostly but were not clinical up front which cost them. They need to improve in this area and need to take full advantage of the chances they create.

Sevilla under Julen Lopetegui have been a real strong force and a team not to reckon with. They have a brilliant start to the La Liga campaign as well as their European journey. The Spaniards sit in second position of the table with two draws, gathering two points in two matches. They would definitely look to get their first win of the campaign against Lille tomorrow.

The Spanish side as scored twice and conceded twice. They have failed to hold on to their leads and would definitely look to improve in that sector with more defensive solidity.

The above image shows the xT timeline from the match between Sevilla and Wolfsburg. It clearly shows that Sevilla dominated the majority of the match but only managed to score once. They have to be more clinical otherwise Lille can definitely hurt them on transition.

Sven Botman has been ruled out in defence for the home side while goalkeeper Leo Jardim also remains absent. Sevilla are travelling without Youssef En-Nesyri in attack while Joan Jordan is also out.
